about
Moscoman announces a new double-A side single shot and directed by Zoe Que, with the opening track ‘What’s Killing Me’ featuring Joshua Idehen; poet, workshop facilitator, musician and founder of renowned poetry/music magazine Poejazzi.
Here’s the director Zoe Que: What's Killing Me is a modern version of my Swedish childhood stories of nymphs and forest creatures that lure people to the river and drown them. I wanted to echo the lyrics by visualising Joshua's character letting himself be dragged away by something seemingly beautiful but really it’s dangerous - the nymphs representing a beautiful distraction.
Of which the Moscoman adds: The first version pre vocals was simply named 'Trip'. It was very long and meditative, and at one point I tried to make a shorter version of it and I really liked it. Stephen introduced me to incredible poet/vocalist Joshua, who took the instrumental and somehow his first version reflected precisely how I felt when I produced it, like he'd translated my music into words.
